R-biopharm launches the new RIDASCREEN® FAST Ochratoxin A (R5402) the competitive enzyme immunoassay for the quantitative analysis of ochratoxin A in corn, wheat, barley, oats (grains) and feed.

The new RIDASCREEN®FAST Ochratoxin A offers several advantages, the major benefits of the new test are:

  • Fast and easy enzyme immunoassay that uses a water-based solvent for ochratoxin extraction, no need for organic solvents.
  • Determination of Ochratoxin A in a broad range of food (corn, wheat, barley, oats) and feed samples within 8 minutes.
  • Improved sensitivity: LOD cereals ≤ 2 µg/kg and feed 2.8 µg/kg (LOD determination according to official guidelines of Eurochem)
  • Good accuracy of naturally contaminated (Trilogy®) and spiked (FAPAS) cereal and feed samples.

This highly accurate blood test will enable genetic analysis laboratories to detect the presence or absence of major chromosomal abnormalities such as trisomy 21 (Down’s syndrome), 18 (Edwards’ syndrome) and 13 (Patau syndrome), in the fetus, as early as in the first trimester of pregnancy by analysis of the fetus’s DNA in the maternal blood.
